Gene Simmons Family Jewels - Summer Ratings Recap

(08/31/10) Gene Simmons Family Jewels 8 episode summer run to conclude the 5th season performed well for A&E, but did not perform to its average in the Spring. The eight episodes averages roughly 1.1 million viewers and a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This is about 30% less then what the series was pulling in during the spring half of the season.

The summer season opened with a stable 1.28 million viewers, but peaked on August 3rd with 1.41 million viewers. The low spot in the rum was the season finale, with just 1.07 million viewers. Jump over to FEATURES / Gene Simmons Family Jewels / Season 5 for a full list of episodes and ratings.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels Ratings for July 20th, 2010

(07/26/10) Gene Simmons Family Jewels returned to A&E with it's 100th episode on July 20th and drew 1.28 million viewers during the 9pm hour. This is a little short of the season high of 1.96 million viewers and a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demo, on March 28th, but not unreasonable for a mid-summer episode.

The episode also drew a 0.8 House Hold rating and a 0.6 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Gene Simmons Family Jewels has been renewed for a 6th season, which will premiere sometime in LATE 2010. The number of episodes for season six have not been announced.

"Our current stage show is the greatest one we've done and that's not just coming from the fans, it's coming from the critics," bragged co-founder Paul Stanley. "Which is surprising to us, because we've certainly never been a band like that or built our following on that."
